Cosmetology I Cosmetology II Grades: 11-12 3 credit each Prerequisites: Cosmetology I-Introduction to Cosmetology; Cosmetology II-successfully complete first year of Cosmetology I with 500 hours of class and lab time |
A two year program designed to provide job-specific training for entry-level employment in the cosmetology profession. Instruction includes all curriculum areas needed to meet the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations requirements for licensure upon passing the written and practical portion of the state exam. To receive credit for the course, students will be required to have completed 1000 clock hours by the conclusion of the second year and to take the state board exam for licensure. This course is offered on the Abilene High School campus but is open to all AISD students. | |
